Traditional Latin Mass to be Celebrated by Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos at Basilica of St. Mary Major, Rome, May 24, 2003
On Saturday, May 24th, at 3:30 PM in the Basilica of St. Mary Major, his Excellency Cardinal Darìo Castrillon Hoyos will pray the Holy Rosary and will offer a Low Mass in the traditional Roman rite. This information has been confirmed by Una Voce Italy. Please urge anyone you may know who will be in Rome on that day to be present for the Mass.
This is the first time, since 1970, that a Cardinal of the Holy Roman Church, Prefect in office, has celebrated in public a Holy Mass according to the traditional rite, in Rome, in a papal Basilica. All are warmly invited and encouraged to attend this important celebration of Mass.
