Letter from Michael Davies
In January, 1996, with the founding of Una Voce-America (UVA), an initiative that Michael Davies, President of Una Voce International called "the greatest single event in the history of the traditional movement in the United States" was launched.
Una Voce has been a presence in the United States for over 30 years. But it has only been since the founding of UVA, that a Una Voce has been able to work as a network of Una Voce chapters and affiliated traditional Mass organizations.
The purpose of such a venture is clear: to establish a coordinated network of traditional Catholic groups to solidify and strengthen the Traditionalist movement, and to give greater support to those groups who are working with bishops to request wider availability of the Tridentine Latin Mass.
In April, 1996, Michael Davies wrote an article in the Remnant, outlining some of his hopes for UVA. (See excerpt: Rightful Aspirations). The new Catholic magazine Sursum Corda also featured an interview with Michael Davies in which he discusses the growth of Una Voce-America.
